* does the steam version use a launcher to start? the launcher can be launched as an admin, hence creating an ini needed by the game, the game will read the ini as long as an user does not modify it, any user changes will not be readen because of the 4 resolutions limit, thereferore it being overwritten, would not patching the game lend to another resolution?

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords

swkotor2.ini The steam version does support 1600x1024 but you have to edit swkotor2.ini yourself. replaces swkotor2.exe v2.2.0.0 (Steam version) with an older version (v2.1.0.0). http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2899743

KotOR II will support 1280x768 without the widescreen patch, even though it isn't on the list of graphics options in the game.

To activate this option, you need to go to your swkotor2.ini file (found in the SWKotOR2/ folder), and under [Display Options] change Width=XXX (where XXX is its present value) to Width=1280 and Height=XXX to Height=768. Then save the file and close it. The game should now run at 1280x768. 500 - 999 posts
