Known Issues

Tribes is currently in Open Beta status, which means everyone can play it but issues are quite common.

  • The client may fail to switch maps at the end of a match. Solution: restart the client.
  • The player will constantly spin. Solution: unplug any joysticks, controllers or gamepads from your PC.
  • Joining an ongoing game through the friends list may not work. Solution: restart the client may help, but there is no known fix.

No Cursor / EULA and Menu Buttons Launch Issues

From the game launcher, select the Small Gear button that opens the Options menu at the top and select the 'Troubleshooting and Diagnostics' button. Hit the "Validate / Repair" Button on the bottom left.

It takes a few minutes to validate the files and then (if you are experiencing this issue) re-download them.

If this does not fix the issue, use the diagnostic and support utility to send Hi-Rez studios the log files from your Tribes: Ascend patcher. More information

Improvements

Borderless Fullscreen Windowed

The game supports fullscreen windowed mode natively. From the main menu, choose Settings > Video > Screen Type > Borderless.
