I've tried over and over to get app passwords to work in GFWL on Windows 8.1, but the only thing that works is disabling two-step verification on https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage?mkt=en-GB

Or has someone else found a way - recently! - of convincing GFWL to accept either the one-time verification code or an app password?
