Flawed definition for "shut down" games

2
Vrubayka1 (talkcontribs)

For physically available games like The Crew, the availability always contains Retail. Despite the fact that that retail copy is unplayable, it's still listed as available. What can be done?

Macgovern (talkcontribs)

Firstly, retail is always shown as there is a legal second-hand market for copies of such games, even if they won't work. Secondly, the list under which The Crew appears notes that, "games known to have been sold at retail stores, may or may not already have shut down." Thirdly, the article for The Crew prominently displays a banner at the top of the page stating the game is no longer playable in any capacity and that the article continues to exist solely for historical purposes.

Given the reasons I listed above, you'll forgive me if I disagree with your assertion that the list's definition of "shut down" games is flawed.
