Version differences
Aleph One: Pathways Into Darkness
- Source port running on the Aleph One engine.
- Includes quality of life features not present in the original, such as the ability to change the difficulty, play in full screen, and more.
- A fairly accurate recreation, albeit with a few differences due to engine disparities (see the readme for a comprehensive list).
- Available on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
OS X Port
- Port developed by Man Up Time, LLC for OS X systems.
- Faithful recreation of the original.
Essential improvements
Pathways Save Inspector
A save game file reader, it can tell the user valuable information such as current location, single-use triggers encountered, and various other interesting data. It can read save files from both the full game and its demos.

Issues unresolved
VSync setting is ineffective upon restart (Aleph One port)
- Upon restarting the scenario, players may find that the VSync setting, despite still being enabled, no longer prevents screen tearing.
- The only solution is to reset the setting; this process must be repeated each time that the scenario is relaunched.
