How to use this sample layout:
- Copy and paste the code from this page into a new game article.
- Code can be copied using the edit link for this page.
- Rename sections and names where appropriate, and delete the first and last line of code.
- Choose an appropriate category, which will normally be [[Category:Game]] and [[Category:Windows]].
- Delete empty headers.
No genre, game-type or game content information
The reason we have decided to not include genre on this wiki can be found in the Style Policy page. Game content information should also be kept to a minimal. The focus of the wiki is to provide information about how to fix games, rather than the content of games.
Introduction
- Noteworthy comments about performance.
- Developer support and stability.
- Other games in the series, for example, Halo: Combat Evolved (2001).

- Which is the best version of the game to get?
Patches
Only include if:
- There is a benefit in using an older patch. For example, Diablo II's latest patch is 1.13, but the high-res mod only supports 1.12.
- There is a community or fan patch which is superior to the latest developer patch.

Mods And Utilities
The aim of the article is to provide the benefit of experience of the community for the new user.
- List mods that provide the 'best experience' and are the 'most popular'.
- Balance mods and aesthetic mods can also be included if they are stable, mature and popular.
- Utilities that do not fit in other sections can also be placed here.
Save Game Data
Save Game Folder Location
Refer to the Style Policy for guidance on formatting.
Use <code> tags to display file names:
settings.ini
Use <code> tags to display default full file paths:
- Windows 7:
C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\My Documents\
- Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\My Documents\
I have decided to change paths styling to <code> tags. This is because there are a number of display issues with <pre> file paths overlapping over floating divs such as the infobox.--Andytizer (talk) 05:26, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
