Issues fixed

Crashing on modern operating systems / Gate won't open

On Windows Vista, XP, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10, the game tends to crash unexpectedly and suffers from a glitch early on where a gate fails to open.

Steam version^[3]
Download Manhunt Steam Fix. Extract the files to the installation folder. Run `Manhunt Fix.bat` to apply.

High FPS / Glitched NPCs on Windows 10

Due to issues with D3D8, W10 has broken frame rate limiter which causes issues such as glitched AI

Cap the game to 60 FPS^[4]^[5]

Use a Direct3D 8 to Direct3D 9 wrapper^[6]

Run the game at screen refresh rate

Fullscreen mode defaults to 60 Hz, even if the screen refresh rate is set higher than that.

Set screen refresh rate^{[citation needed]}
Download and extract dgVoodoo. Open the `MS` folder and copy the contents to the installation folder. Run `dgVoodooCpl.exe`. Click on "Add" and choose the installation folder. Enable "Enumerate refresh rates". Go to the DirectX tab. Set the resolution from the list (e.g. 1920x1080, 119Hz). Disable "dgVoodoo Watermark" and click OK.
