Half-Life 2 runs on the Source game engine, which has received many updates since its release in 2004.

Console Commands
Games running on the source engine can utilize Source Engine Console Commands for various tasks.
Controller Support
Xbox 360 controller
- In the console (~) type
exec 360controllerto automatically enable controller input and bind the buttons.Note this will also change any key icons to icons of 360 controller buttons. - To disable these changes type
exec undo360controllerin the console.
