- Unlike its expansions, the setup utility and the in-game graphics settings for the base game, Earth 2150, has a hardware-accelerated sound section and lacks the ability to adjust the maximum zoom level, respectively.

- If Earth 2150 or its expansions are set to a non-4:3 resolution, the game will crash as soon as you attempt to use the Construction menu in-game.
Game appears on wrong monitor
- If Earth 2150 or its expansions appears on the wrong monitor on your multi-monitor setup, you'll need to tell the game which monitor to use.
Other information
Missing graphical features when not using Direct3D renderer
Certain graphical features, such as environmental fog and terrain shadows, cannot be enabled when using either the OpenGL or Glide renderers.
Software rendering
Earth 2150 and its expansions come with a hidden software renderer. Given, for all intents and purposes, any modern computer can play the game at maximum settings using either the Direct3D or OpenGL renderers without issue, the software renderer is merely a curiosity. However, those that would still like to utilize it should follow the instructions below.
