Bink 2
TBA. The Halo: Spartan Assault intro skip is in Bink 2 format so might work for other games.
Bink 1
- Install and run the RAD Video Tools.
- Go to the file and choose File info.
- Note the width and height.
- Open Paint (or a similar program).
- Set the same width and height.
- Fill with black and save the file.
- Go back to the RAD Video Tools.
- Select the image and choose Bink it!
- Click the Bink or Smack button to generate the file.
- Rename the file to the same name as the original.
Smacker
- Open the file in MPC-HC (or similar)
- Choose File, Properties.
- Note the width and height.
- Note the video format (
SMK2
orSMK4
). - Open Paint (or a similar program).
- Set the same width and height.
- Fill with black and save the file.
- Generate the video file (leave all conversion settings at their defaults).
- For SMK4 use the RAD Video Tools
- For SMK2 use the Old Smacker Tools.
- Rename the file to the same name as the original.
AVI
- Open the file in MPC-HC (or similar)
- Choose File, Properties.
- Note the width and height.
- Note the video format (e.g.
msvideo1
). - Open Paint (or a similar program).
- Set the same width and height.
- Fill with black and save the file.
- Install and run the RAD Video Tools.
- Select the image and choose Convert a file.
- Click Convert.
- Choose the video format specified in the file properties.
- Click OK to generate the file.
- Rename the file to the same as the game.
MOV

EXE
- Self-contained EXE videos made with RAD Video Tools
rad2exe.exe
or similar.
- Make an empty Notepad file with the file name of the video EXE.
- Test in the game.
- If the game refuses the Notepad method, download the Blank Windows executable and rename to the file name of the video EXE.
