Editing an executable file using a hexadecimal editor[2]
  1. Download the hexadecimal editor, for example HxD
  2. Go to the <path-to-game> and open the Lotus.exe in the hex editor
  3. Press Ctrl+F and find the value AB AA AA 3F by selecting hexadecimal search format and click OK
  4. Press F3 2 times, this will be the last value found.
  5. Replace the value AB AA AA 3F with 39 8E E3 3F by right-clicking and selecting "Insert with replacement".
  6. Save the changes.

Custom resolution

Use dgVoodoo 2 wrapper[3]
  1. Download the latest version of dgVoodoo 2.
  2. Extract the files to a convenient place.
  3. Open the MS folder in dgVoodoo's directory and copy DDraw.dll.
  4. Navigate to the <path-to-game> and paste the file in there.
  5. Now open dgVoodooCpl.exe and go to the DirectX tab
  6. Select Virtual 3D Accelerated Card under Videocard, then select your screen resolution from the list. For VRAM, select the maximum available value.
  7. Click Apply.
