WK Universal Unofficial Patch[edit]

Fixes the unit teleportation bug on high framerate
Fixes issues with the music, improves framerate when music is on
Adds widescreen resolutions in the settings.
Improves modding (allows custom maps, ...)
Install WK Universal Unofficial Patch
  1. Download the patch and extract it.
  2. Copy the file "d3d8.dll" to the game data folder.

Use the WKB Gamestarter to set the resolution.

  2. Change default_screen_width and default_screen_height to the desired resolution.


Windowed mode[citation needed]
  1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Black Cactus\Warrior Kings Battles\Renderer
  2. In the menu bar click Edit > New > DWORD 32-bit value.
  3. Name the new value: fullscreen
  4. Double-click it and set it to 0.


If you want to go back to fullscreen, double-click the fullscreen value and set it to 1.
