Running the game on displays with DPI scaling

2
Dgrdsv (talkcontribs)

There's a paragraph in the FOV section which begins with "If the game launches "zoomed in" on high resolutions and only part of the screen can be seen"...

A) This has nothing to do with in-game FOV and is a result of the game not detecting Windows DPI scaling properly.

B) The proposed solution doesn't work for me in Windows 11 22H2. The only working option is to disable DPI scaling - i.e. set it to 100%.

I'm not changing the page because I'm not sure if the solution works in some other Windows version like Win10 or something.

I had the same problem in Wolfenstein New Order in Windows 10 and fixed it in the same way.
I've added the info just below the fix above as the alternative.

I can choose Español for Audio and Text in my game. Why does the article say, one needs to download something? My copy is from GOG. --Chick'n'Duck (talk) 18:22, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

SirYodaJedi (talkcontribs)

Steam needs a separate download; GOG includes it.

Theclaw135 (talkcontribs)

Maybe it's different for other regions and/or the original retail release. In the USA, however, I can verify the Steam version includes Spanish subtitles. Support is indicated on the Steam store page and can be enabled in the game's properties menu.

Chick'n'Duck (talkcontribs)

Dito for the EU: Sound: DE, EN, FR Interface/Subs: the 3 above + ES and ZH (traditional).

Have you selected in inside the game? Is it a mockup like in GOG (see my other comments here)?

Theclaw135 (talkcontribs)

It's not a mockup on Steam. Inside the game, the option uses ES interface/subs and EN sound.

Chick'n'Duck (talkcontribs)

That is, how I changed it now. I assume this as well.

Chick'n'Duck (talkcontribs)

It is a mockup-selection. Everything changes to English, when selected. Or stays in English, if this was selected prior.

GOG Full dismemberment

This seems to be outdated. I can not find a way to chose this number: »For GOG version choose 35313557 version when installing.«

It's been mentioned several times on the Steam forums that the store page lists Italian, despite no such option appearing in the game or its Steam properties. Does this mean the game wasn't officially released in Italian?

Though it looks like there's been fan patch attempts, trying to write sufficient info about patches for a language I don't understand isn't a good idea.

Mirh (talkcontribs)

Judging by my queries on google, it seems it never had an italian version. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to explain all the fuss. This review seems to confirm suspects

Said this, it seems there have been multiple translations versions during time.
The first I could find is mentioned here. Which has then been updated here.
Then I found after a year a newer one came out, ideally mirrored here (and here?) They should be tested though imo.

And last but not least it seems there should have one for Jedi Accademy.

It's cool to see people so into the game to be interested in every possible details anyway. Thank you.

Chick'n'Duck (talkcontribs)

Steam does not list Italiano (anymore) on the game's page.

Editing j2config.cfg for engine max settings

2
Djbarney (talkcontribs)

There should be a section showing how to get max graphics settings by editing the quake engine settings in the .cfg files.

Mirh (talkcontribs)

Can't you just get it by setting maximum settings in-game?
