Which is better Real RTCW or Venom mod?

"Semi-official" free download for multiplayer portion

Splash Damage, the developers behind Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, link to a download for a patched version of just the multiplayer portion (with a bunch of mods installed) on a news post discussing how to play Enemy Territory. I don't think this should be put on the page, as it's not exactly 100% "official", but I figured I'd mention it here, since it's a weird factoid.

GOG Deutsch version

... is uncensored one. For swastika content. VO dub plot remain a little bit changed. Should be mentioned somewhere.

Then mention it. Everyone can freely edit it.

If I'm not mistaken S4NDMoD is obsolete now as the master server is up again. I'm not sure if it's still being developed of still offers some form of fixes. Anyone think they can check up on this?

Using the GOG version, I was able to retrieve a list of servers without any modifications. While iortcw is installed, I renamed my autoexec.cfg and used the original WolfMP.exe. Most, if not all servers are however running version 1.42b, that I could see.

It seems likely that the mod in question is no longer required, however, I do not know the details around it. Its GitHub page looks more like an archive, dating back to 2018, while it seems the master server got back up around 2016. I do not know the history here.
