According to my virus total scan here: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/0dceea1fe89bb8080918df8931f1c477a081937dc82bbafc4b39aeb2392a583f/analysis/1453461307/ the linked server emulator is a virus, and three people agree. Is this a false positive or is this real?

Server emulator. Should we write about it?

Some guys at elitepvpers are working on an offline server emulator for NFS World. I've tested it and it works (it's still in alpha stage and it's not fully functional yet). Should we write about it here, once the game servers go down? Would it be legal to do so?

I don't think there's anything intrinsically illegal about server emulators.

I mean, content created with leaked SDKs or source code is probably unlawful, but unless there are some proof they didn't just use good old reverse engineering and behavior analysis I don't see anything wrong.

I'd just want to say that it's sad it's closed source
EDIT: Cool! it seems to be open now.
