i would like to do a constructive critic: wsgf marked 21:9 as unplayable (and this seems obvious to me, if normal widescreen doesn't work..) but for some strange reasons it left 4k as incomplete should we comply with normal wsgf rating or could we deduce the behavior?
Talk:King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride
WSGF only recently added 21:9 and 4K so some pages haven't been updated for both, so the wiki should show the expected false status for the normal rating regardless of the WSGF rating. I've now updated the WSGF entry to have 4K show Unsupported.
yes, my thought was more general actually..
i meant not only with this old game, but i was asking if we needed to stay strict to wsgf rating, or if we could "deviate" with our comments and remarks
The wiki differs from WSGF as needed. The specific widescreen behaviour and resolution-changing steps should be covered even if the result is still stretched or whatever; some players don't mind a stretched output so want to be able to run the game at the best resolution possible. If the change makes the game unplayable (as with Might and Magic IX) or causes crashes I include only a minimal mention of the resolution-changing steps since the result doesn't work anyway.
