Fix for Dual Core CPUs

What happens by default when you start the game with just 1-2-3 cores?

That should be the issues name imo. Otherwise with this name we'd have better to move under essential improvements.

Said this, somebody should try to arrange instruction between this and this

the fix for dual core cpus is all wrong. already saw that the original file got deleted due to being detected as a malware by norton. i'll try to clean that stuff out and general cleanup, a lot of stuff in here is old and doesn't need to be there.

So.. the Far Cry 4 dual core fix does not work on Windows 10 with AU, and why the hell did Ubisoft leave the game like that?!

Hawaii Beach (talk)20:13, 18 August 2016

I laugh, thinking what could have break even worser had we still those other crappy injecting tools.

Anyway, I think it was this or this. Somebody (I?) will have to recompile newer version.
I don't see why it would be all wrong in the end though.

Yeah, these injecting tools are really crappy imo, and ffs Ubisoft should've fixed the dual core issue.. Now there's 0 chance.

It seemed obvious this was an arbitrary limitation.

There's no reason, even should you create 100 threads, these couldn't all fit a single core...
EDIT: god, it seems almost every modern game is riddled by race conditions
Anyway, new version is up.

might have found a fix, will be uploading it all to the wiki very soon..

Force disable mouse acceleration

Should there be a note with this section because it doesn't seem to do anything for me and a few people from reddit

Primey (talk)14:02, 18 November 2014

Most likely the same case as the last game, negative mouse acceleration. It had to be disabled by using Gibbed Tools, nothing else worked.

Game seems to lack FoV in-game setting, however it does have same values on config file that Far Cry 3 had. Found this on reddit:

Can someone with the game test does changing that value actually change FoV so it could then be listed as hackable.

Marioysikax (talk)19:59, 15 November 2014

After I edited the fov part I found out apparently a FOV slider is being added via the day one patch so it really doesn't matter if nobody tries to edit the values. This was data minded from the leaked copy.
