Linux (Proton) game data locations

ETQW's Linux (Proton) game data locations are different than most of the games on Steam. However, I am unable to add those since there is no established and/or published template for it. How can I add following locations as Linux (Proton) game data?

Configuration file(s) location:

<Steam-folder>/steamapps/compatdata/10000/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/id Software/Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars/base

Player profile(s) location:

<Steam-folder>/steamapps/compatdata/10000/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/id Software/Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars/sdnet

Custom data download location:

<Steam-folder>/steamapps/compatdata/10000/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/id Software/Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars

Proton paths are handled automatically. As mentioned in the note on the Proton row, this is a base path within which the Windows data is stored (if the Windows paths are incomplete or incorrect you can correct the details there). I have updated the editing guide section to mention this.

The problem is either Windows retail and Windows Steam version of ETQW do not use installation directory as Configuration file(s) location. Configuration file(s) stored at %USERPROFILE%\Documents and custom data downloads stored at %LOCALAPPDATA%; so usual steam/<path-to-game> isn't correct and cannot be corrected with PCGW's current template.

Now I understand your problem, the differences you're seeing are due to how the folder structure works on Windows. %USERPROFILE%, %LOCALAPPDATA%, etc. are environment variables, not real folder names. You can click on each linked variable in the game data rows to get further details about where it is actually located.

Proton follows Windows XP folder naming, so %LOCALAPPDATA% is equivalent to drive_c/users/steamuser/Local Settings/Application Data/, %USERPROFILE%\Documents\ is drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/, etc.

The Documents vs. My Documents distinction wasn't explained before. I will make some documentation/template adjustments so these differences are easier to understand.

So, it should be like that then;

Configuration file(s) location: <Steam-folder>/steamapps/compatdata/10000/pfx/%USERPROFILE%/Documents/id Software/Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars/base

Player profile(s) location:

<Steam-folder>/steamapps/compatdata/10000/pfx/%USERPROFILE%/Documents/id Software/Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars/sdnet

Custom data download location:

<Steam-folder>/steamapps/compatdata/10000/pfx/%LOCALAPPDATA%/id Software/Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars
