In the settings there is a key-binding for Take a Screenshot: numpad Asterisk (*). Where are the screenhots saved or doesn't this work at all?

Launching the modded game without Steam: "Essential improvements" section

I've deleted the section "Essential improvements" because the workaround suggested to run the mod without the Steam version of the game does not work properly:

- the Revision and Kentie's executables are not the same (obviously), and some features coming with Revision are not anymore available if the game is launched with deusexe:

- in the menu Configuration/Game Options, there is no option to select the Gameplay style (normal/Shifter/Biomod)

- in the Sound otions, no more Soundtrack feature, and only 16 channels are available (instead of 32 for Revision)

- in the Display options, no more UI scaling feature

- no mouse acceleration

I'm not sure which gameplay style is activated by default with Kentie's exe. The saves i created with it, with all directories checked in the Data Directories option could only be used by Revision when I copied them to \Deus Ex\Revision\BiomodSave\. I suppose that one have to uncheck some directories to choose the gameplay style, but i'm not certain, and it's not detailed in the section, though it's fundamental.

I've been using the leaked version of Revision.exe, found in a link from a user on MODB, but I don't know it's recommanded to use it as it may have some flaws, and also it's an illegal (and stolen?) version, according to Square Enix giving the exclusivity of the mod to Steam.

Sorry about the deletion, maybe the section could be improved somehow, but I don't really know how... and i'm not at all familiar with the wiki systems.

I don't understand the point of this section, there's a completely standalone edition anyway. Thanks for explaining these issues though, I had forgotten about the whole Deus Exe thingy.

Deus Ex is already available on GOG.com so anyone who wants to play the game without Steam should just buy the DRM-free version instead, I understand it sucks if you own the game already though but 10$ isn't a whole lot and the game usually goes on sale often.

PS: If it wasn't clear yes you did a good job removing it.

The standalone installer still requires having the Steam version of Deus Ex in your Steam account.

Makes sense as they added their chanegs to the exe rather than DeusEx.u
