Frame rate

An unknown issue causes the in-game frame rate to run at a low 22-25 FPS rather than the intended 30 FPS cap.
Use Special K
  1. Install Special K by following the Special K Unofficial Guide.
  2. Start the game once and close it to allow the configuration file of Special K to be created.
  3. Open <path-to-game>\d3d9.ini or %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Mods\SpecialK\Profiles\wspy3d.exe\SpecialK.ini depending on the installation method you used.
  4. Change TargetFPS=0.0 to TargetFPS=30.0 under [Render.FrameRate] (setting TargetFPS higher than 30 won't increase the FPS).
  5. Save the file and launch the game.

Hex edit the launcher
The following fix may require a No-CD patch.
  1. Open wspy3D.exe with a hex editor such as HxD.
  2. Press Ctrl+F, change the data type to hex values and search for AB AA AA 3F.
  3. Replace AB AA AA 3F with 39 8E E3 3F for 16:9 (needs testing on aspect ratios wider than 16:9).
  4. Save the file and set the desired resolution in the launcher.
