Warnings

The macOS (OS X) version of this game does not work on macOS Catalina (version 10.15) or later due to the removal of support for 32-bit-only apps.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is a multiplayer third-person racing game in the Sonic Racing series.

The game lacks achievements that can be found in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases.[citation needed]

Key points

Shadow detail and filtering is of a lower quality than the console versions, causing shadows to look pixelated even at the highest preset.[2]

  1. 1.0 1.1 When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).

"All this art is great, but without an engine to power it, it’s not going to be much of a game. To this end we’ve been using our in-house Sunshine engine to make it all whizz around at high speed. If you’ve played our OutRun conversions, VT3 or Sega Superstars Tennis, you’ve already played with Sunshine!"
