Issues unresolved[edit]

Broken difficulty menu fundamentally alters game play[edit]

Due to a bug that is yet to be fixed the game difficulty will always reset back to easy on game load or saved game load. However the menu will still show "hard" or "nightmare" when the game is actually set to easy.
Set difficulty to easy. Go back into the game. Set difficulty to hard or nightmare. Apply this fix every time the game loads. Some reports suggest player might have to go to another settlement to actually see the changes.[9]

Got 2nd place in racing mission despite no-one in front of player[edit]

An NPC driver can be placed ahead of where they should be, meaning if they get stuck off-track, the player cannot achieve 1st place.
Restart the mission[10]

Drove onto Authority Base platform and now unable to progress[edit]

If the player lacks the in-game requirements for the Project Dagger mission, the player can be rendered unable to progress.
Reload an earlier save[11]

Audio issues during scripted sequences[edit]

Wait for the sequence to finish[12][13][14]

Overdrive not charging[edit]

In some cases, Overdrive does not charge when killing enemies or using an Overdrive Infuser. [15][16]
No known fix.

"Quite a few People have notcied that the game is a breeze, even on the hardest difficulty, one shotting enemies etc the reason for this is the intended values reset back to easy on game relog/restart, however keeping the players chosen difficulty making it seem nothing is wrong."
  10. FAQ and Known Issues - Community Forums for Bethesda.net - last accessed on 2019-05-14
"There is a known issue where rarely one of the NPC races can be placed onto the track ahead of where they should be, if they run off the track, causing the player to lose. Restarting the race and completing it again will usually fix this, as it very rarely happens twice in a row."
  11. FAQ and Known Issues - Community Forums for Bethesda.net - last accessed on 2019-05-14
"There is a known issue where, if the player has not yet met all of the prerequisites for the Project Dagger mission, if they drive the tank onto the platform they can become stuck. They will have to reload an earlier save."
  12. FAQ and Known Issues - Community Forums for Bethesda.net - last accessed on 2019-05-14
"This is a known issue that this audio can sometimes cut off early into the speech. The scripting for the sequence will still fire without the audio so you are not actually stuck. Please wait until the sequence finishes and the door out of the presidio will open."
  13. FAQ and Known Issues - Community Forums for Bethesda.net - last accessed on 2019-05-14
"This is a known issue that this can happen if you sit on a menu during this sequence. It doesn’t stop the sequence from continuing, it just causes the hologram and audio to be mis-timed with each other. Continue waiting until the sequence has complete to continue."
