Could someone update the article? There's a proper screenshot tool in Mac OS.

Here's the official support article (please link it as well): https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh26782/mac

tl;dr:

  1. press Shift-Command-5 (or use Launchpad) to open Screenshot and display the tools
  2. To take picture using a keyboard shortcut: Capture the entire screen — Press Shift-Command-3.

I've made the changes. Also threw in some other minor changes alongside it to improve some aspects of the page as well.

I suggest to sort the content of this article on hand the steps of creating and embedding screenshots. On this way it will turn into a howto, which can be followed by a beginner. I allowed myself to copy this article into my namespace and apply my desired changes there. Basically, the suggested tools are introduced, followed what should be chosen as the "model", technical aspects of the file, and last the upload/naming and embedding. My changes can be seen there as well. User:Chick'n'Duck/Editing guide Screenshots

Windows 10 doesn't have Turquoise

I followed the instructions for Windows 10 (when dealing with external launchers or options menus) but came with the following problems:

  • Row 1 Column 4 is currently Orange Dark. The desired color appears to be in Row 4, Column 1 instead.
  • The color is named "Cool blue bright", not Turquoise.
  • It won't match the example screenshot if accent color is not shown for "Title Bars and window borders"

It might have worked earlier for Windows 10, but the situation has since changed. Maybe the RGB color could be given as a fallback as well.

The instructions should be fixed now. We opted to simply go for the same shade of blue that's used on the site itself.
