Pressing certain keys has no effect

The game may not register some keyboard input. For instance, Pause Menu may be inaccessible with Esc.

Use DxWnd Make sure you are running DXWnd in Expert Mode (Options: Expert Mode). Create a profile for the game (Edit: Add). Go to the Input tab of the newly created profile. In the Direct Input section check "Hook dinput".
