Mouse cursor permanently visible and stuck at center of screen when not in use[edit]

  1. Install Special K by following the Special K Unofficial Guide.
  2. Start the game and press Ctrl+ Shift+← Backspace to toggle Special K's Control Panel.
  3. Confirm that "No Warp (cursor visible)" is enabled under "Input Management".

Volume is too low[edit]

  1. Go to the configuration file(s) location.
  2. Open ProfOpts_profile in text editor.
  3. Find any of these lines and edit them to your desired values

  1. Set them to higher values such as 2.000000 or 3.000000 (which are 200% and 300% of in-game volume respectively).

While using a controller, the right stick causes the camera to pan down while moving[edit]

Close Steam client background process[6]
  1. Exit to desktop.
  2. Open Task Manager.
  3. Find the Steam background process and close it.
  4. Return to the game. The gamepad controls should behave normally.
