Little Nightmares II is a singleplayer side view and scrolling platform, puzzle and stealth game in the Little Nightmares series.

On August 27, 2021 the game received a free Enhanced Edition update with ray-traced reflections, improved volumetric shadows, interactive particles and immersive audio.[2] The game was also updated to make use of DirectX 12, in comparison with DirectX 11 which the original version makes use of.

Manually modify the game executable[3]
  1. Open <path-to-game>\Helios\Binaries\Win64\Little Nightmares II.exe
    or <path-to-game>\EnhancedEdition\Helios\Binaries\Win64\Little_Nightmares_II_Enhanced-Win64-Shipping.exe
in a hex editor (e.g. HxD).
  2. Search and replace 39 8E E3 3F with 26 B4 17 40 (for 2560x1080) or any other aspect ratio in hex.
  3. Search and replace 3B 8E E3 3F as above.
  4. Save the file, overwriting the original.
  5. Follow the instructions to enable the developer console in the game.
  6. Enter FOV X in the console, where X is the desired value, which can be calculated here. The game's base horizontal FOV is 60, but it can slightly change during gameplay.
The Steam version executable needs to be unpacked with Steamless before modification (a different path will be used for saves).
Unreal Engine Unlocker might need to be run before the game has reached the main menu to avoid crashing.
It seems like the game has trouble centering the camera around the character when forcing UltraWide.
