Official Servers Down

Although the game's servers were turned off when its publisher, Lexis Numérique, was liquidated in 2014, the independent In Memoriam Revival Project provides a new server.

Install In Memoriam Revival Project

Navigate to http://inmemoriam.softbreakers.com/ Download IMRevivalPack.zip. Unpack IMRevivalPack.zip. You should now have the following folders: IMRedirector Update In Memoriam Update Missing If you have 'In Memoriam' installed, then navigate to "Update In Memoriam" and run Patch_InMemoriam_2005_09_05.EXE. If you have 'Missing: Since January' then navigate to "Update Missing" and run Patch_Missing_2005_09_05.EXE. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Make a backup of your current hosts file. If your current host file is read-only, then set as writable. Navigate back to the IMRedirector sub-directory where you unpacked IMRevivalPack.zip. Right-click on IMRedirectorLauncher.exe and select "Run as Administrator". The "In Memorial Revival 1.0" dialog box is displayed. Click Install. Make hosts file read-only again

Web Pages Just Show Black

Game-related sites like http://www.xineph.com/aze229d/ show just a black page as some use Shockwave, which now only works on 32-bit browsers.

Install Shockwave on a 32-bit browser
If you only have a 64-bit web browser installed (for example, Firefox Quantum), install a 32-bit version of the browser. In the 32-bit browser, navigate to http://get.adobe.com/shockwave and install Shockwave. When playing the game, ensure you use this browser when accessing game-related websites. (If necessary, change your default browser to this 32-bit browser.)
