  3. If problems persist, download dinput8.dll and extract it into <path-to-game>.

Audio skips in cutscenes

Set compatibility to Win98/ME[citation needed]
  1. Find the folder that contains the game's executable, Hector101.exe, right click the file and choose Properties > Compatibility and choose Windows 98/ME from the drop down box.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/94600/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (94600) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
