Issues fixed[edit]

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)[edit]

This is caused by missing DirectPlay
Instructions[citation needed]
  1. Enable DirectPlay in Start->Control Panel->Programs and Features->Turn Windows Features On or Off->Legacy Components->DirectPlay

16x16x16 Video Mode error and no resolutions available in GTA2 Manager[edit]

This bug seems to be caused by faulty registry settings
Instructions[citation needed]
  1. Launching both gta2.exe and gta2 manager.exe in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode seems to resolve this issue
  2. After successfuly launching both EXEs the compatibility mode can be removed

  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/12180/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (12180) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
