Issues fixed

Game runs very fast

Enable the following compatibility settings for the Gift.exe file: Windows 98/ME

Don't forget to set detect.exe to Windows 98/ME too, or else the configurations will stay default.

The game does not take into account the settings selected in the external options menu

The most common problem is that the game does not activate Vsync even if you have activated it in Detect.exe
Use DDrawCompat https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases/tag/v0.3.1

or

Force Vsync through DgVoodoo 2 or cap the game to whatever framerate your monitor is.
