Digimon Survive is an isometric Tactical RPG first-person visual novel in the Digimon series, developed by HYDE and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Digimon Survive was formally announced on July 30, 2018 alongside a teaser trailer, promising a 2019 release.[2] The following year, the opening animation sequence was shown off, revealing that the game was delayed to 2020.[3] On October 15, 2020, producer Kazumasa Habu announced that the game was delayed again to 2021, due to complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.[4] The following year, it was announced that the game's release date would be moved to 2022 to "enhance the quality of the game".[5] On April 20, 2022, the game was announced to be released on July 29.[6][7]
The game was initially developed on a custom-made engine internally developed by Witchcraft. Development had to be scrapped and restarted from the ground up using Unity.[8]
Digimon Survive was released on Steam on July 28, 2022. While the PC version was viewed favorably, it included a game-breaking bug that prevented players with certain video codecs installed from progressing past the opening animated cutscene.[9] An update was released on August 8 that addressed this issue.[10][11]

- Tested by playing the tutorial battle sequence with several AF sample rates and comparing them. The game appears to not have any form of AF, as forcing AF through the Nvidia Control Panel produced sharper and cleaner results to texture quality.
