Crash to desktop after intro movie[edit]

This fix applies only if Windows Media Player has previously been manually disabled.
Re-enable Windows Media Player[citation needed]
  1. Open the Start screen/Start menu, type OptionalFeatures.exe and press Enter.
  2. Open Media Features.
  3. If this fix applies, the box next to Windows Media Player will be unchecked. Check the box and press OK.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Run the game normally.
