By default, movement is bound to first four buttons of the controller. Buttons 1 (xbox A) and 4 (xbox Y) for up and down, button 2 (xbox B) for right/confirm and button 3 (xbox X) for left/cancel.
This should cover majority of controllers, but controllers like dancepads with d-pad only may be required to rebind the controller with keyboard assistant. Some controllers handling d-pad with axis may have problems with the gameplay.
Controller remapping
Option to toggle between arrow combinations and button prompt for in game HUD. If all buttons are bound, ability to disable arrow combinations. Supports secondary bindings for movement.

Known issues and solutions are listed on the Official FAQ.

Changing settings crashes the game[edit]

Reboot the system[1]

Game does not launch in fullscreen (Linux)[edit]

On Linux you may have noticed that it will always launch in windowed mode yet the game has no option for the fullscreen mode. It's possible to enable it by adding 1 after the NecroDancer.sh script executable for example, NecroDancer.sh 1.
