Children of Morta is a singleplayer and multiplayer bird's-eye view and scrolling ARPG and roguelike game.

The GOG version of the game is still missing the Online Co-op update, which the Steam version received on February 14, 2022.[4]

High frame rate

When Vsync is enabled in the settings of the game, the framerate is locked to the refresh rate.[7] When disabled, the game is locked to 60 FPS.[8]
Uncap the frame rate regardless of refresh rate using Special K[9][dubious – discuss]
  1. Enable Vsync in the settings of the game.
  2. Install Special K locally for the game by moving the SpecialK64.dll to the game folder and renaming it to dxgi.dll
  3. Run the game once, and then close it.
  4. Open dxgi.ini in a text editor and change PresentationInterval=-1 to PresentationInterval=0
  5. Run the game and confirm that the frame rate is uncapped.

Notes:

Vsync must be enabled in the settings of the game for this override to work.

Unless otherwise noted, the developers are aware of the following issues and are working on fixes.

Killing a boss as it kills the player softlocks the game

If the player and a boss simultaneously deliver killing blows, the game will softlock at the loading screen.[15]

No known fix.

Escort side mission softlocked

A specific escort side mission involving two NPCs can become softlocked if one of them gets stuck on a wall.[16]

Fixed in the 1.0.6 update.[17]
