Issues fixed

Low framerate and slowdowns

The framerate can get stuck at 42 or 48 FPS even on computers that meet the system requirements. This also makes the game run slower.[1]
Opt-in to the beta branch (Steam)[2]
  1. Make a backup copy of the <path-to-game>\Dependencies folder somewhere outside of the game's directory.
  2. Right-click Capsized in your Steam library, select "Properties" and then the "Betas" tab.
  3. Select the "dev" beta from the drop-down box, then close the Properties window and let the game finish updating.
  4. Once the update is finished, move the backup Dependencies folder from Step 1 back into the <path-to-game> folder.

Notes

  1. If you are playing with a gamepad, you will need to reset the gamepad bindings in the game's settings menu.
Instructions (Windows 7)[3]
  1. Right click on the game exe or shortcut, select Properties and under Compatibility check:
    • Disable visual themes
    • Disable desktop composition.
  2. Run the game and in the video options menu enable window mode and disable Vsync. Restart the game for the changes to take effect.
