Version differences

Definitive Edition is an updated version of the game that backports many enhancements from the PlayStation 4 version, such as improved graphics, revised controller support, rebalanced difficulty, and new content previously exclusive to that version.

All previous owners of the overseas release of Astebreed receives Definitive Edition free of charge.

Full controller support		A first time pop-up prompts players whether to launch the game either in windowed or fullscreen. Afterwards, the pop-up will no longer occur. This pop-up was removed entirely after the Definitive Edition update.

Mute on focus lost

Set mute in background Install Special K by following the Unofficial Special K Guide. Start the game once and close it to allow the configuration file of Special K to be created. Open <path-to-game>\d3d9.ini or %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Mods\SpecialK\Profiles\Astebreed.exe\SpecialK.ini depending on the installation method you used. Change Borderless=false to Borderless=true under [Window.System]. Change MuteInBackground=false to MuteInBackground=true. Notes You may need to change the graphical preset to fix the gamma on every launch.

Issues fixed

Run the game at screen refresh rate

Fullscreen mode defaults to 60 Hz, even if the screen refresh rate is set higher than that.

Set refresh rate with Astebreed Tweaker Download and run Astebreed Tweaker. Select Astebreed.exe in the installation folder. Type in the desired Refresh rate value and save. Notes Exceeding 60 FPS increases the game speed. See Frame rate capping.
