Issues fixed

Run the game at screen refresh rate

Rebellion's Asura engine may automatically set monitor refresh rate to 60 Hz; this can result in reduced smoothness on a high refresh rate monitor even if GPU render shows a high FPS count.
If Vsync limits refresh rate to 60 fps on a high refresh rate monitor, this is a sign this issue is occurring.
Set display refresh rate[citation needed]
  1. Download Special K.
  2. Copy SpecialK32.dll to the installation folder.
  3. Rename SpecialK32.dll to dxgi.dll.
  4. Start the game and exit.
  5. Open dxgi.ini in the installation folder.
  6. Change RefreshRate=-1 to RefreshRate=0 under [Render.FrameRate].

Notes

If your monitor has a manual refresh rate toggle button, you can use that to set a higher refresh rate instead of using a custom .dll.

No servers available

Change server type[citation needed]

Alternative method[citation needed]

  2. Under Game select Alien vs Predator.
  3. Select the server you would like to play.
