Save game cloud syncing

System Native Notes
GOG Galaxy
OneDrive
Requires enabling backup of the Documents folder in OneDrive on all computers.
Steam Cloud
Using "Continue" takes you to the last used save slot specific to that machine, even if Cloud Sync updated/replaced the file associated with that slot after using a different machine. Use manual load for preferred save file if this occurs.

Video

Graphics feature State Notes
Widescreen resolution
Resolution is officially capped at 1920x1080.[1]
Multi-monitor
Ultra-widescreen
Letterboxing present
4K Ultra HD
Supports 2160p, though textures are still PS3/X360 quality
Field of view (FOV)
Windowed
Resolution cannot be changed past main menu
Borderless fullscreen windowed
See the glossary page for potential workarounds.
Anisotropic filtering (AF)
No in game or .ini options for AF, force in graphics driver's control center.
Anti-aliasing (AA)
Vestigial option to enable is available in .ini file, but it doesn't do anything. Use the graphics control center to apply driver level anti-aliasing.
Vertical sync (Vsync)
Only when application is fullscreen, though FPS locks already keep game from screen-tearing.
60 FPS
Capped at 30 FPS by default; see High frame rate.
120+ FPS
Can technically go to 120, but going higher than 45 or even 60 will cause game breaking bugs.
High dynamic range display (HDR)

High frame rate

Raise frame rate cap[2]
  1. Search for Agarest.ini in the game's file folder
  2. Search for LockWindowFrameRate
  3. Change 30.000000 to 45.000000.
Increasing the game's frame rate will also increase the game's speed and going over 45 might cause some other issues. Use at your own discretion.

Notes

  1. When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
  2. 2.0 2.1 File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/237890/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (237890) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
