Widescreen resolution

Edit files[3]
  1. Open <path-to-game>/System/D3DDrv.dll with a hex editor like HxD.
  2. Press Ctrl+G and go to offset 000063C0.
  3. Until the address 00006420, highlight the following values: 4006, 8002, 2003, 0004, 0005.
  4. Go to the Data inspector tab, change each of the values above in the Int16 row to the desired width, and press Enter.
  5. In the same address range, highlight the following values: E001, 5802, 0003, 0004, B004.
  6. Go to the Data inspector tab, change each of the values above in the Int16 row to the desired height, and press Enter.
  7. Save the file.
  8. Open <path-to-game>/System/PB.ini.
  9. Change the lines FullscreenViewportX= and FullscreenViewportY= to the desired width and height values respectively.
  10. Save the file.

Notes

For resolutions higher than 2048x2048, a DirectX wrapper is needed, like dgVoodoo 2 or DxWrapper.
Vert-: Field of view (FOV) is cropped on wider resolutions than 4:3. Increase FOV to compensate, see Field of view (FOV).
