Random Stop Working Error

I noticed a lot of threads out there about this error, where Shogun 2 or anyone of the different expansions will stop work at random points. For example I would have this happen all the time during the loading screen, middle of a battle or just looking around the map. I found that a simple temporary fix is to simply re-install it or you can first try to make sure the game cache is intact (right click the program> click properties> go to local files> verify integrity of game cache) but if anyone know or can figure out I would like to get to what is the cause of this problem. Also I run this game on two similar machines with the only really difference being one run Windows 64 while the other runs Windows 32 and the 64 bit one seems to have this happen less.

Mouse Cursor Unrestricted

The game does not restrict the mouse cursor, meaning that on multi-monitor configurations instead of moving the camera, the mouse will go onto the other screen, effectively crippling the ability to effectively move the camera in that direction. This thread provides a potential solution untested by the user editing this.

Extreme Loading Time

Shogun 2 suffers from rather ridiculous loading times (the first loading splash screen can take over 5 minutes to load). However, these loading times are only so extreme when using DirectX11. If the game is run in DirectX9 mode the loading times, while long, are much more manageable. To disable DX11, go into the video options and change the option to DirectX9.Bear in mind, this will restrict you to Shader Model 3 and MLAA among other things, so this makes the game look worse (though only marginally). Only disable DX11 if you don't mind setting the graphics lower, or you think shorter loading times are worth having lower graphics.
