As for your two questions:

First, obviously you can and should change a depreciated editing style to the latest one. I apologize for not making that clear.

Second, if it's not there in the official system requirements, it shouldn't be there unless stated otherwise by the editing guide, even if it means the developer's decision not to causes, on PCGamingWiki's end, the recommended requirement section to be empty, either in the OS section, or, if there no official recommended system requirements, the entire recommended requirements section.
