Issues unresolved

Unreliable performance

Due to the game being designed for 30 fps, many users report erratic performance at higher framerates, including stuttering and severe framerate drops.[7][8][9][10]
These issues are observed regardless of detail settings and resolution, even on high-end systems.
(partial fix) Limit framerate to 30 fps[citation needed]

Locking the framerate at 30 fps (in video options) seems to alleviate most of the problems, resulting in much smoother overall gameplay.

(partial fix) Set borderless windowed mode in game video options[citation needed]

Can give greater stability boost than above. Combine both.

The game shows white screen during ingame daytime on AMD cards

(partial fix) Downgrade to 18.2.1 version drivers or older

Developer is informed about the issue.

Change the camera[citation needed]
Disable all Uplay, Steam, Fraps, MSI Afterburner overlays[citation needed]
Update your drivers to at least 18.5.2 version[citation needed]

The problem is entirely fixed by these driver's version and later.

Disabling Steam DRM

Disabling Steam DRM[citation needed]
  1. When you buy The Crew on Steam, instead of downloading the game from there, use the keys that you'll get and validate and download the game directly on Uplay.
  2. If you already installed The Crew from Steam, you can rename or move the installation folder and uninstall it from the Steam launcher, this way you'll maintain the game files so you can link them from the Uplay game properties tab.

System requirements

A 64-bit system is required.
Windows
Minimum Recommended
Operating system (OS) 7 SP1
Processor (CPU) AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5 GHz
System memory (RAM) 4 GB
Hard disk drive (HDD) 15 GB
Video card (GPU) AMD Radeon HD 5870
Nvidia GeForce GTX 460
1024 MB of VRAM
DirectX 11 compatible
Shader model 5.0 support
The minimum requirements are quoted for 30 fps, whereas the recommended ones - for 60 fps

Notes

  1. File/folder structure within this directory reflects the path(s) listed for Windows and/or Steam game data (use Wine regedit to access Windows registry paths). Games with Steam Cloud support may store data in ~/.steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/241560/ in addition to or instead of this directory. The app ID (241560) may differ in some cases. Treat backslashes as forward slashes. See the glossary page for details.
