Proposal for a new connection method row

6
Summary by Aemony

New connection method row have been implemented.

Dandelion Sprout (talkcontribs)

I propose a new connection method row squeezed in between "Successor" and "Icons", to specify if a controller would need to be connected to PC by either USB-Micro, USB-C, USB-Mini, Bluetooth, custom physical adapters, wireless networking without adapter, PS/2, DE-9, and/or other methods.

<!-- Connection method for PC -->
{{#if: {{{connection method for pc|}}} |
	<tr>
		<th class="template-infobox-header" colspan="2">Successor</th>
	</tr>
	<tr>
		<td class="template-infobox-info" colspan="2" style="text-align: right;">{{{connection method for pc|}}}</td>
	</tr>
}}

Is there a specific reason for the "for pc" specifier? Otherwise we can just omit that.

Dandelion Sprout (talkcontribs)

I at least think there are cases where a controller's connection methods differ between their original consoles and PC. One example I can come up with in a hurry, is that wireless Xbox 360 controllers only has support for some sort of direct wireless connection on a physical Xbox 360, whereas on PC they'd require a signal→USB adapter.

Aemony (talkcontribs)

Sure, but we're a PC focused wiki so everything being PC-specific is already implied.

Dandelion Sprout (talkcontribs)

In that case I approve of omitting that detail.
