game crashes at specific points

probably not going to get much attention with the remake on the horizon but is anyone else experiencing complete freezes in the main game when loading a game then talking to the merchant first thing? i've been able to reliably force a crash this way multiple times. during separate ways i've also had several freezes during grapple gun sequences. its only ever during grapple sequences, never any other point

Did you try installing RE4 tweaks? I don't know if that's covered under it but that thing fixes a lot of bugs including some performance stuff.
