Please provide info on what workarounds do and don't work:

compatibility modes
DirectX 9.0c reinstalling (especially after upgrading to Windows 11 or an otherwise clean OS install)
GPU drivers and combinations

There's a workaround and pre-patched .exe available at:

However while using the patch does not allow playing multiplayer with other players who aren't using the same modded exe
