Someone on the f*ckTAA reddit posted this. Ill post a link if you want.

It does work, but its a bit shaky. Try it out. Only works w/ DX 11.

"At the moment I could turn off TAA but the image looks a bit shaky. Anyway, if you want to try it out, here is the patch:

Find:

01 48 8D 15 7E 09 76 00 48 8D

Replace:

00 48 8D 15 7E 09 76 00 48 8D

Note that this only works on DirectX 11 version.

I will work on this later on when I will have more free time.."

I didn't find TAA bad at all in Hitman 2. Certainly not enough to hex edit the game.

If you wanna see truly bad TAA check far cry 6. At 4k detail close to the player looks fine but at roughly 20 feet away everything looks like it's being rendered at 720p

Still... If there is a way to disable it and you don't like it then go for it

-skip_launcher no longer works.

I've tried numerous times to launch without the Launcher popping up, but every time I do it comes up with a Steam message saying 'You're trying to run the game with this command - continue?' and then it doesn't launch the game.

I think this has been since the game was updated to 2.50.x

Yes, I have added it properly. I've been doing it since Hitman 2 was released (Nov 8th).

Uninstalled the game a couple of months ago, and started revisiting it today. Keeps coming up with the same error. If it works for you, then it's obviously something else... maybe I was wrong.

Still works for me.

The Steam message "You're trying to run the game with this command" indicates that you're using some form of desktop shortcut to launch the game. This desktop shortcut of yours probably points to either Launcher.exe, dx12Retail\HITMAN2.exe, or Retail\HITMAN2.exe (DX11). None of these, however, is really necessary.

1. Add "-skip_launcher" to the "Set launch options..." for the game in the Steam library, and launch the game through the library.

2. IF you are in need of another desktop shortcut, use the one that "Create desktop shortcut" in the properties of the game in the Steam library creates. This creates an URL-based shortcut that points to "steam://rungameid/863550", which will take into account the configured launch options and bypass the launcher.

No... It tells me this error message when I try and run the game through Steam, NOT through a desktop icon.

I cannot get Hitman 2 to load without being able to skip the launcher. EVERY single time I try, it keeps telling me: "You're trying to run the game with this command - continue?" and then continues to repeat the message no matter how many times I click OK.

Contact Steam's support, I guess.
