Solution to crash back to desktop when trying to change settings in the game!

So, recently I decided to play this game because I didn't back in the days. Downloaded it from My Abandonware website and it worked fine, but at one point when I wanted to change video settings, for example to turn off that stupid grain effect, game just crashed to desktop. But I found a quick solution to this problem. And all what you have to do, is to set compatibility mode with Windows XP Service Pack 3 for this game and that's it. So yeah, if anyone runs to this problem, then here is the solution for you!

Solution to game not saving your video settings!

But then there is another problem. Sometimes game does not save your video settings, after you set your compatibility mode. And to solve it, I recommend to configure everything to your preferences BEFORE you set any compatibility. Even before you start a new game. And after that, game will save everything. So yeah, configure your game wisely before you start playing and before you set compatibility mode.

Solution to a mission with summoning demon Seplavite!

There is one mission where you reach "Dead End", which is a room with giant mirror with torches and red symbol on the floor. In this mission you have to stand in the middle of that symbol and cast a spell to summon a demon, that will fly you to your next destination. But, you will notice that, when you stand in the middle of that symbol and try to cast the spell, game will not show you the buttons that you have to press in order to cast a spell. But don't worry, it is not a glitch. It was designed that way, so you have to guess, what buttons you have to press. But the solution to this "puzzle" is simple. Stand in the middle of that symbol, look at the mirror and press a button that enables your "true vision" that allows you to see secret writing on the mirror. Those writings shows you, how much you need to press each button. And the buttons, on PC, is just your movement buttons, like W,S,A,D. So, in order to cast a spell you need to press buttons in the same way that those writings on the mirror tells you. Like this: press W 2 times, D 1 time, S 3 times and A 2 times and that's it. I'm telling you this because this is the mission where I stuck. And judging from my experience, you may also stuck in here too, thinking that your game bugged out or something. When in reality, it's just the way that this game was designed.

Solution to win a boss fights!

If you have ANY problems with ANY of the bosses in this game, then the solution is simple: USE FLAMETHROWER ON THEM! You will find it at some point in the game. Just explore the locations before moving on, and you will find it. I found it a mission before the museum, where you had to fight giant worm in hell.

Solution to enemies getting stuck somewhere in the walls!

If you see that you can't progress further because there is some of the enemies that stuck in walls, and you can hear them but can't see them, then do this: go to your pause menu by pressing Esc button on your keyboard and save your game via "save" option. Exit to main menu and start your game and then load your save via "continue" option. Game will spawn you not far from the place where you got stuck. Then continue playing and see if you can get through the same place where you got stuck. It worked for me so it should help you too!
