Adjust DOSBox and game settings[3]
  1. In the DOSBox configuration file, change cycles=auto to cycles=10000
  2. In the DOSBox configuration file, change timed=true to timed=false (if using a controller).
  3. During gameplay, press F5 to access the Game Speed settings.
  4. Press ↵ Enter and move the Update Rate slider to the far left.

The save option in the F1 menu does not work (the game is not saved).[1][4]
Save with F3[1][5]

Press F3 during gameplay to access the save menu. Saves can be loaded with F2 or the F1 menu.
