Social Club won't launch

Reinstalling Rockstar Games Social Club[citation needed]
  1. Uninstall the current version of Rockstar Games Social Club that is installed on your PC
  2. Download and install the Social Club client
Reinstalling Social Club will require you to re-enter login details for all other games you use with RSC as well as saved passwords are not kept.

Error Patching: Error Binary Patching File

Remove patched files and re-patch[1]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>.
  2. Remove any file with a .patched extension.
  3. Remove Social Club v1.0.*.0 Setup.exe.
  4. Run Patch_2382_*****_1.exe.
  5. Press Update.
  6. Start game via launcher.
If the same thing happens again, uninstall and re-install the full game and attempt to patch.
This works best when the Social Club v1.0.*.0 Setup.exe file is the v1.0.6.0 which can be acquired from here

Social Club stuck on "Checking for updates"

Manually run the patcher[citation needed]
  1. Go to <path-to-game>.
  2. Run LANPatcher.exe.
  3. The game should download an update and launch.
This issue has only been reported on the Steam version of the game

Social Club Auto-Login doesn't work

Update the Social Club client to latest version[2]
