Previous Perpetuum owners can log-in using their original accounts using the Steam version by linking the two on their profile page.
Twitch account can be linked with either client account for in-game streaming.
Buying the game from Steam does not give you access to the non-Steam client and vice-versa.

Game client crashes

Network-related

The developers have been continually attempting to mitigate the effects of network-related issues beyond their control since 2011.[1]
Delete Perpetuum.gbf from installation folder[citation needed]
  1. Go to the installation folder.
  2. Find Perpetuum.gbf and delete it.
  3. Restart the game and allow the game to re-update or, if you're using Steam, verify the game's cache to force the file to be re-downloaded.
Ensure network ports are allowed through your router/firewall[citation needed]

"Low memory" crash

Reduce graphical settings[2]
  1. Go to the "Options" menu of the Options window.
  2. Disable shadows.
  3. Uncheck Render decorational plants.
  4. Set Draw distance to its middle or lowest setting.
